About Chris Mullin

“Photography is more than image-making. It’s a way of witnessing the world—stripped back, slowed down, and made meaningful through the lens.” ~ Chris Mullin

Fine Art Landscape, Portrait & Branding Photographer

As a fine art photographer, I’m drawn to the drama of landscape imagery and capturing people. Since picking up my first DSLR camera in 2015, my work has been guided by a deep appreciation for the raw beauty of the Canadian landscape, especially the epic Rocky Mountains and the ever-shifting moods of Vancouver Island’s coastline.

Known for crafting images that evoke stillness and depth, revealing the textures, contrasts, and emotional weight. I believe that photography invites viewers to pause, interpret, and connect more personally with the land and people.

I grew up in Ontario (Oakville) where I spent time at my grandparent’s chalet at a small ski resort near Collingwood/Blue Mountain. The time I spent there, along with canoe camping trips to Algonquin, started my love for natural environments. I skipped my high school graduation to visit BC and ended up calling Whistler home for the next decade. Since then, I’ve lived in the Rocky Mountains, Canmore, Alberta (near Banff) and now on Vancouver Island, Victoria, BC.

Having travelled extensively across Canada in search of landscapes that speak through light and form. I’ve had the privilege of honing my craft through mentorship with acclaimed photographer Dave Brosha and attending workshops with Paul Zizka and the Offbeat Photography crew. My journey has been shaped by community and curiosity, from being recognized at the 2020 Light Chasers Nature Photography Conference to exhibiting and selling his photography work at the World Ski & Snowboard Festival in Whistler.
