About Chris Mullin
As a fine art photographer, I’m drawn to the drama of landscape imagery and creating captivating portraits and branding photographs.
Since picking up my first DSLR camera in 2015, my photography has been guided by a deep appreciation for the raw beauty of the Canadian landscape. I especially love photographing epic landscapes in the Rocky Mountains and the ever-shifting moods of Vancouver Island’s coastline.
I’m known for crafting images that evoke stillness and depth, revealing the textures, contrasts, and emotional weight. I believe that landscape photography invites viewers to pause, interpret, and connect more personally with the land.
Having travelled extensively across Canada in search of landscapes that speak through light and form, I’m always seeking out ways to refine my craft. I’ve had the privilege of being mentored by acclaimed portrait photographer Dave Brosha, and I’ve participated in world-class photography workshops with Paul Zizka and the Offbeat Photography crew in Banff.
My journey has been shaped by community and curiosity, from being recognized at the 2020 Light Chasers Nature Photography Conference to exhibiting and selling my photography work at the World Ski & Snowboard Festival in Whistler.
I’m honoured to currently be an admin for two popular landscape photography Facebook groups: Ansel Adams Inspired II, with 74k members, and Tones of Place / Black and White Landscape Photography, with 1.5k members.
“Photography is more than image-making. It’s a way of witnessing the world—stripped back, slowed down, and made meaningful through the lens.” ~ Chris Mullin
